MODEL SELECTION

8T or 16T HDD machine?

The right model depends on bore length, final pipe diameter, geology, pullback resistance and available working space. LIYO configures the machine around the actual project.

GUIDED DRILLING

Do I need an HDD locating system?

LIYO 8T and 16T machines support guided drilling with a compatible locator, sonde, housing and steering pilot head. The electronic locating system is optional unless included in your quotation. The 4T family is for straight horizontal boring only.

GROUND CONDITIONS

Can HDD drill without water or mud?

Dry drilling may suit some soft soil or clay conditions. Rock, gravel and mixed ground require a project-specific tooling and circulation review; water alone does not make a standard setup suitable for rock.
